2009 Sydney Royal Easter Show
April 9 - 22, 2009
The largest one of these is held in Sydney Australia and is known as the Sydney Royal Easter Show. The dates for the 2009 Show are April 9- 22 and the show is held at the Sydney Showground at Sydney Olympic Park.
The Show displays many of Australia’s best produce, farm animals, parades, rides, fireworks, food, sideshows and fun.

As the sun sets on a day full of colour and culture, find your place along the road to cheer on the convoy of illuminated floats in the Torchlight Procession concluding with a spectacular fireworks display at Lake Weeroona.
The highlight of the Bendigo Easter Festival has to be The Bendigo Advertiser Gala Parade with colourful floats, clowns, marching bands and the breathtaking performance of Sun Loong as he winds his way through the streets. Chinese crackers will ward off evil spirits and bring good luck to the City until everyone comes together again for the Bendigo Easter Festival in 2009.

2009 National Folk Festival, Canberra, ACT
9 - 13 April 2009
The National Folk Festival is celebrated in Canberra, every Easter, when the city is frocked up in its golden autumn best. Australia’s festival flagship, the ‘National’, draws together people from all around Australia and the world. Bluesfest 2009, Byron Bay, NSW
This year the Bluesfest festival leads off with some big names in blues, reggae and roots pop, nicely rounded off with great artists in the alternative country, hip hop, soul, world and rock genres. With a list like this, it’s hard to believe there will be more amazing line-up announcements made, but there will be!

2009 Ulladulla Blessing of the Fleet Festival, Ulladulla, NSW

The Blessing of the Fleet is an old and revered tradition which has been passed down from generation to generation originating in Sicily and as ancient as biblical times. This centuries old Italian rite calls on divine providence to safeguard ships and crews from the danger of the seas
Ulladulla’s Italian community’s traditional ceremony of blessing the Ulladulla is on Easter Sunday at 12 noon at the harbour under the watchful eye of St Peter, the Patron Saint of the fisherman and the festival princesses.
