Easter Festivals 2012
In Australia, there are many festivals held during Easter.
The largest one of these is held in Sydney Australia and is known as the Sydney Royal Easter Show.

The dates for the 2011 Show are 5 - 18 April 2012 band the show is held at the Sydney Showground at Sydney Olympic Park.
The Show displays many of Australia’s best produce, farm animals, parades, rides, fireworks, food, sideshows and fun.
The Easter Show is Australia’s largest annual event, a nationally iconic showcase of Australian culture and heritage.
The Show aims to recognise achievements in agriculture through competition, and promote awareness among city Showgoers, honouring our agricultural heritage whilst providing a platform for the future.
Live music, extreme action performances, entertainment, sideshow, food, rides, and shopping make up the rest of the Show, providing a dynamic entertainment experience for the whole family.
The Sydney Royal Easter Show is a world class event unique to Australian culture. Around 900,000 visitors attend each year making it one of the largest events of its kind in the world.

2012 Bendigo Easter Festival, Bendigo, Victoria

The Bendigo Easter Festival has been in existence since 1870, and is the oldest community festival in Australia that occurs at Easter each year and allows access for all.
Following on from the success of this year, the Bendigo Easter Festival will retain a three day format in 2012 commencing on Good Friday April 6 and concluding on Easter Sunday April 8.

2012 National Folk Festival, Canberra, ACT

2012 Ulladulla Blessing of the Fleet Festival, Ulladulla, NSW
The Blessing of the Fleet is an old and revered tradition which has been passed down from generation to generation originating in Sicily and as ancient as biblical times. This centuries old Italian rite calls on divine providence to safeguard ships and crews from the danger of the seas
Ulladulla’s Italian community’s traditional ceremony of blessing the Ulladulla is on Easter Sunday at 12 noon at the harbour under the watchful eye of St Peter, the Patron Saint of the fisherman and the festival princesses.

Golden Horseshoes Festival in Beechworth

The Beechworth Golden Horseshoes Festival is traditionally the biggest annual festival on the Beechworth calendar and attracts around ten thousand visitors to the region over the Easter long weekend each year with many booking out accommodation and restaurants years in advance. The festival also attracts many day visitors from the surrounding districts all keen to see the spectacle.
