AdSense is an ad serving application run by Google. You will need to get a google account and sign up to use Adsense. Once joined you can select the size, color add you want and then add the code to your website. When visitors to your website click on an add you earn money. Adsense is a great way to start out affiliate marketing.

Google AdWords enables you to advertise on the search results for searches performed in Australia ( or a country you set it up for) on Google. You will need to get a google account - enter some details and then once its all set up your adds will start appearing in the google search results or on websites like this. Its a great way to advertise as you set your maximum budget you want to spend for the day and then are charged per click.
Affiliate Marketing
Affiliate Marketing is a way of a website owner making money from placing text and banner adds on their website. The adds when clicked on earn the website owner money - either a percentage of the cost of the product, per lead or number of click based arrangement.
Anchor Text
The practice of linking to another page on a website - internally or externally. It is great for Search Engine Optimisation
Article Marketing
Writing articles that are posted and distributed online for the purpose of driving traffic to a particular website or product you're promoting. This is done by having a link to your website at the bottom of the article usually in the articles signature.
Autoresponder
Autoresponders are often used as e-mail marketing tools, to provide information to their potential customers and then follow-up with them at preset time intervals. Mailing lists have the potential to generate revenue for years to come.
Banner
A web banner or banner is an add on a website that links to another website. The advertisement is made from an image or flash animation and comes in various banner sizes.
Blog
A blog is a website that is set up and maintained by someone who regularly updates the pages with information about themselves and what they have been up to.
Content Site
Packed with useful information on a particular topic that keeps the visitor coming back for more. A content site with unique useful content is a great way to start and make money from placing google adsense adds throughout.
Direct Linking
A link from your site to a merchants site with your affiliate link that has its unique ID. If a visitor clicks on the link on your website through to the merchants site and makes a purchase you get the commission.
Domain Name
A domain name is unique and allows you to have an "identity" on the Internet. Domain names form the basis of the common Internet naming scheme. Domain names provide a system of easy-to-remember Internet addresses which are translated by DNS (Domain Name Servers) into numeric IP (Internet Protocol) addresses used by the Internet.
For example www.achievesuccess.com.au is a domain name. You can buy a domain company such as www.GoDaddy.com.
Duplicate Content
Two pages displaying the same content on different pages of a website or on different websites. Not recommended if you want you pages or websites to rank well.
Landing pages
Landing pages are usually long ( very long in some cases) and full of well written sales copy - designed to make the visitor more likely to buy something .They usually only one link out - either to a purchase button or a merchants website.

A website dedicated to one topic.
